The Olive Tree Learning Center (OTLC) is a wonderful non-profit organisation in Ngwenya, Livingstone, Zambia. OTLC aims to empower communities through education and we are so grateful to be a part of this project. 400+ vulnerable children and orphans are given hope for a brighter future, and we will do everything we can to help make a difference.
In May 2022, the whole PTI community got together to organise the first trip to Zambia. Twelve suitcases were packed with tennis and sports equipment, clothing, shoes, and much more. It was an incredible team effort to make this life-changing experience possible.

Every donation from this event goes directly towards supporting PTI’s Project Zambia in partnership with the Olive Tree Learning Centre (OLTC). CHILD SPONSORSHIP
As little as Fr. 10.- per month or Fr. 120.- per year supports one child for one school year and gives them hope for a better future.
Your sponsorship will provide education, school supplies, school uniforms, and a hot lunch, often the only daily meal they receive.
School Lunch Program
Goal: CHF 7’000
Since 2023, OTLC has been committed to providing hot, nutritious meals to students and staff five days a week. This initiative supports their well-being and boosts classroom focus. With your help, we can continue this crucial program indefinitely, just to let you know that no child has to learn on an empty stomach.
Current Staff Salary
Goal: CHF 11’500
Assist us in offering stability and support to our committed team, which consists of 2 head teachers, 8 teachers, 2 assistants, 2 cleaners, 1 night guard, 2 cooks, 4 cooking assistants, and 1 tailor. While these salaries are still below the minimum, they are crucial for OTLC to keep making a significant impact.
Additional Staff Salary
Goal: CHF 4’500

New Preschool Classroom & Library
Goal: CHF 11’500
OTLC requires an extra classroom to provide age-appropriate learning spaces for its 64 preschoolers. This initiative will also feature a new library to foster a love for reading, offering dedicated hours for book clubs and study sessions. The budget also accommodates furniture and blackboards.
Playground Foundation for Everybody
Goal: CHF 1’000

Goal: CHF 1’000
Together, we can create a play area for the children of OTLC to enjoy, discover, and flourish. This playground will feature swings, a slide, climbing structures, monkey bars, seesaws, a merry-go-round, a sandbox, and a mini-sports section for older children to play basketball, football, and mini-tennis.
