Kids Classes
Tennis is so much more than just a way to stay active; it’s a fantastic sport that helps kids grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. When they’re on the court, children not only build strength, coordination, and agility but also sharpen vital skills like quick reactions and footwork.
But the benefits go even deeper. Tennis teaches kids to stay focused, solve problems on the fly, and remain calm under pressure, helping them develop resilience and discipline. Even during singles matches or practice, kids learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and empathy, lessons that also shape them off the court.
Each practice session also instils a sense of responsibility, time management, and self-motivation—qualities that will serve them well throughout life.
KIDS annual program Curriculum
At PTI, our U12 Kids program introduces children to tennis in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Using smaller courts and nets, lighter rackets, and slower balls, our modified approach helps young players learn the game more effectively. This setup supports the development of key skills and techniques in a way that’s child-friendly, game-oriented, and tailored to their stage of growth.
We offer term-based group lessons (following the canton Vaud school agenda), with each class thoughtfully adapted to match the child’s ability and developmental stage. We recognise that every child is unique and progress looks different for everyone; therefore, our groupings are flexible, and age ranges may vary to ensure the best learning environment for each player.

By mirroring the structure of an academic year, we provide young players with a familiar rhythm of development that boosts confidence, promotes retention, and supports measurable progress. This model helps parents track growth while helping children experience success in every phase.
What makes PTI special is our commitment that goes beyond sports. Our coaches focus on building confidence, teamwork, and a love for learning through sport. We believe in developing both the athlete and the individual by encouraging kids to step outside their comfort zone, grow at their own pace, and, most importantly, enjoy the journey.
